“2040: Engineering the Future” is happy to announce another panel member: Lieke van Son!
Lieke van Son is a former Innovation Sciences student, graduated in 2015. Nowadays, she already works for 2,5 years at the Dutch national government in the fields of innovation, startups, sustainable energy and climate. Her expertise is innovation policy for sustainable development.
Currently, she works at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations on the sustainable transition of the built environment and is closely involved in the negotiations for the Dutch Climate Agreement. While the government in many analyses seems to be the answer for everything, she wil keep asking the question, is the government capable of intervening and why and how should the government intervene? She will use her gained experience on how political processes work and how political choices are made.
